The nature in Northwest Jutland

Nature in particular has left its mark on this area, and the last ice age left unmistakable traces such as glacial valleys, clay cliffs and various types of deposits, giving the area its own distinctive character.

Between the towns of Lemvig and Struer lies the Klosterheden forest, covering an area of 6,400 hectares. It is one of the largest woodland areas in the country. The area is home to lots of red deer and the very active beavers.
